Get query string values in JavaScript

Is there a plugin-less way of retrieving query string values via jQuery (or without)?

If so, how, and if not what plugin do you recommend?
You don't need jQuery for that purpose you can use the pure JavaScript

function getParameterByName(name)
{
name = name.replace(/[\[]/, "\\\[").replace(/[\]]/, "\\\]");
var regexS = "[\\?&]" + name + "=([^&#]*)";
var regex = new RegExp(regexS);
var results = regex.exec(window.location.search);
if(results == null)
return "";
else
return decodeURIComponent(results[1].replace(/\+/g, " "));
}

Cheers !
Hope you got the Ans !
